Lonely men

Where do all the lonely men go?
They go to the New Brew Tavern
and stand like lonely men do
on the fringe of the crowds of friends
who laugh and smile without the worries
that lonely men have.

Where do all the lonely men go?
They go to findsomeone and be2
and fill out a profile that lonely men do
and wonder if people can tell they are lonely
and needy or hiding behind facts and figures
that lonely men have.

Where do all the lonely men go?
They wander the shops and malls
wondering what to eat or look at
without an other to help them decide
wasting time in the indecision
that lonely men have.

Where do all the lonely men go?
To the prostitutes and escorts
who seem to care that they are lonely
while waiting for the right one
an hour lost in gratification
that lonely men have.

Where do all the lonely men go?
To the courts, lawyers and tribunals
fighting for the company of their children
the few things that matter to them
heartbreaking daughters and sons
that lonely men have.

Where do all the lonely men go?
To the psychologists and therapists
to find out where it all went wrong
Maybe there is an atom
of thought that will change the lonely life
that lonely men have.

Where do all the lonely men go?
To drink and drugs?
To sport and endorphins?
To work?
To church?

Where do all the lonely men go?
