Philip Culbertson retired from the faculty at the University of Auckland in late 2007, though he returns to New Zealand annually to teach intensive Masters-level courses in the Counsellor Education program and the Theology faculty. He now resides in Palm Springs, California, where he works as a freelance copyeditor and also teaches part-time in the Philosophy department at College of the Desert in the city of Palm Desert. His fourteenth book, 'Pacific Identities and Well-Being: Cross-Cultural Perspectives', a collection of essays on Pasifika mental health co-edited with Margaret Nelson Agee, Tracey McIntosh, and Cabrini ‘Ofa Makasiale, will be published by Routledge in October 2012. He is also coeditor of the New Zealand Journal of Counselling.
