2025, June

the leaves fall endlessly   they don’t return   this is the chemistry

while the waves pour in endlessly again and again   to turn and return

democracy is not a spectator sport (Robert Reich)

one day follows another   while we spectate sun’s rising, its setting

while time traverses its ordinary, remarkable trajectory

some of us watch   to believe what we see

what else to say

that the thing to be known might grow with the knowing

possibly   quite possibly
