Zamana
Sharafat ka jo gayega tarana!
Use hi kaat khayega zamana!
Jo khud doobe hue hon unki khatir!
Batao laazimi kya doob jana!
Faqat maangi mohabbat kab kaha tha!
Sitare aasman se tod lana!
Koi jab thaamne wala na aaya!
Mere qadmon ne chhoda ladkhadana!
Zaroorat seal deti hai labon ko!
Bahut mushkil hai khul ke muskurana!
English Translation:
Whoever sings the song of decency,
The world will bite him alone!
For those who are already drowned,
Tell me, must we drown as well?
I only asked for love,
When did I say to pluck the stars from the sky?
When no one came to hold me,
My feet themselves stopped stumbling!
Need seals the lips,
It is so hard to smile openly!
